Year: Junior

Major: Community Health

Hometown: Zionsville, IN

Career Goal: Ultimately I would love to work for the government to do research and promote healthy lifestyles.

Ever since I can remember, I have always been passionate about helping others be the best versions of themselves. After coming to Indiana University, I was able to find my niche with Community Health. I love being able to study all different aspects of health including nutrition, education, and fitness.

Over this past summer, I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at Riley Hospital for Children!!! I was able to work with a child life specialist and play games with kids all day. It was an unbelievable experience! There were days when I got to hand out toys to kids and I felt like Santa. It was so rewarding to see the smiles on their faces and how much joy they would get from a simple game of UNO.

I can’t believe that I am starting my junior year at IU. I am so grateful for all of the amazing opportunities that I have had and I can’t wait to see what this year holds. I am so excited to be able to be a Team Captain for IU CHAARG Team for Indiana University Dance Marathon. Aside from being a member of IU CHAARG, I am also involved with Timmy Global Health. Being apart of organizations that focus on health, happiness, and fitness makes me reaffirm my passion for overall wellness.

Here we go; let’s tackle this fall semester! I am looking forward to continue to share my passions with you through my blog posts!
