Qualtrics, based in Provo, Utah, is one of the world’s leading survey technology providers. It works with huge companies such as Marriott International, JetBlue and HP to provide “software as a service” or Saas. Qualtrics also serve 99 of the top 100 business schools and half of the Fortune 100. It has seen exponential growth in the past few years and is looking for fresh talent to expand and broaden its reach. It has been rated one of America’s most promising companies by Forbes magazine and is considered one of the best companies to launch your career.
Enter Thomas Gadberry, who does recruiting for Qualtrics here at IU. He is the go-to man for all career insight involving this ever-changing and fascinating quantity. Check out what he had to say:
Could you tell me about Qualtrics? It is impossible to describe Qualtrics without really experiencing it. For a little taste of Qualtrics, we hope you visit this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qYKKzuQds8) and check out our virtual office tour- we promise you won’t be disappointed! As a company that is growing exponentially fast and that is already a major player in the international market, there are incredible opportunities for personal growth- not to mention the chance you will have to make an impact on a billion dollar business.
What’s the best part of about working at Qualtrics? I think the best part of working for Qualtrics is that the company cares enough about their employees to provide incredible growth and mentorship opportunities. I think it’s safe to say that everyone who works here learns something new every day, and the company strives to ensure that people have the opportunity to learn, grow, and progress in their career at an incredibly fast rate. If you are looking for a place where you can learn from the best and the brightest minds to springboard your career, this is definitely it.
How would you describe the culture of Qualtrics? Qualtrics has worked incredibly hard on maintaining transparency as we continue to accelerate our growth. We have a weekly, company-wide meeting where the CEO takes open questions about any topic- even the newest of employees can ask him anything. In addition, the conference rooms in the office are encased in glass, so you can always see what’s going on across the office- there is a lot of visibility into what senior leadership is doing because of this. In addition, our CEO told us earlier this year that we need to have more fun- so we are doing just that. The massage chairs, customized golf carts, four fully stocked kitchens, and hands-free scooters are just some of the things that we have around Qualtrics so that we remember to “play hard” as well.
