What’s the best part about working at Accent?
The best part of working at Accent on Indianapolis is the daily opportunity to sell the great city of Indianapolis to planners, guests, and locals. Over the past few years, Indianapolis has grown and changed to be a truly must see place in the United States. We take pride in our city and know all that it has to offer.
What position(s) are you currently hiring for?
We currently are hiring for a Summer Intern position and contract staff.
Could you tell our readers more about these specific positions you are currently looking to fill?
Having an internship with us allows for the intern to be introduced to many industry professionals throughout the city, as our venues, and thus our contacts, change by each event. Accent on Indianapolis is also extremely involved in national associations that interns will have exposure to. The intern will work closely every day with the Operations Manager as to assist with day to day office work, program set-up and strike, as well as event staff. As our industry requires, the intern must be flexible with hours as well as tasks. Each day in the office is a bit different, depending on the upcoming programs and events. In order to intern for us, a person must be willing to be flexible and work with changes that pop-up in the day to day.
Our contract staff positions would allow you to gain experience when your schedule allows. The interns we have lined up for this coming year have all started working with us as contract guide staff, so it is a great way for us to get to know you!
Our contract staff have the opportunity to work with our clients during events, and are exposed to a variety of aspects of our industry. Often, guides help with the set-up, strike, and pose as actual event staff on large programs. Also, we have guides who give tours, work at the airport for meet and greet services, as well as convention and registration staff. Although the amount of work we have varies depending on season and demand, when guides do work they are compensated.
