Easy Holiday Networking Tips and Advice

Just because school isn’t in session doesn’t mean your professional development has to come to a halt too!  While the holiday season is busy, it gives you an opportunity to develop a “roadmap” for your professional goals for the upcoming semester.  Whether you are searching for a career, internship, or simply want to expand your professional network there are many easy things you can do over your Winter Break to get moving in the right direction.

1.  Sign up with online networking sites

Setting a plan for the upcoming Spring semester helps make achieving goals manageable and realistic.  After you have developed both a short and long-term plan make sure to stop by the Career Services office to learn more about career opportunities.

Your professional development is a 365 days a year process.  While many make the mistake of putting it on the back-burner when school isn’t in session, it in fact is the time where you have the opportunity to focus attention on ways to grow and expand your network and opportunities.
